Fishing season sees the River Wye's banks dotted with people fishing. Some are solo, some with friends getting the beers in and some make it a family affair. Although the kids splashing in the water does not lead to a great catch. All are of course carefully put back in. A nudge from a spaniel in your back tells you that the shores are being patrolled for non-licensed activity. Also a couple of competitions are run each year by the local angling club so the swims are full of very focussed activity. This chub is being reeled in with a gasp for air and a bit of a splash.

The (sold) original 21.6 x 16 cm acrylic painting was created on A4 canvas textured paper (which shows in the print).
