Tasmanian geese were a delightful distraction on a holiday tacked on to a visit to a few F1 races on the other side of the world from me! F1 and Le Mans driver Mark Webber did a charity event in Tasmania for many years and through supporting that and getting a video in return one year from the charity, I fell in love with the wild scenery and olde world charm of Tasmania.
During a week there, I explored the island’s shores, wildlife and heard the stories about the export of the naughty British all those years ago. These geese were very happy sifting the silt in the river at sunset. The reflection of the sun, boats and trees in the water was such a vibrant colour it had to be captured in paint.
