A very muddy corner of a field in Kent. Flying mud and sand at this motocross event. Each time a rider went around it got harder and harder not to get bogged down in the ruts. The spray was flying off of the wheels.

Camera needed a really good clean after this Sunday meet. Capturing the moment that determination and persistence were required to get the bike round this turn.

Acrylic painted by brush on an 80 x 60 x 3.5 cm canvas. The splatter moments very difficult as in a temporary studio and had to create a protected area! A dark aubergine/mauve on the edge of the canvas stretcher.
