They may scream. They often do. the teenagers out to impress their friends. Swagger on and stagger off. Legs swinging as they are flipped up into the dark night sky, and then rush down towards the earth again. The arms of the ride long and spinning circles of light in the sky.
Every May the fun fair comes to the City. Ancient citizen’s rights being played out in bright lights. The movement of the people and the lights as it gets darker and darker is fantastic to observe. I’m the photographer squashed against the wall, kneeling in the puddles (it always rains at some point), and craning over barriers.
