The project was called My Earth Dreams. The year is 2007.  Honda were in Formula One. Jenson Button and Christian Klein in the driving seat. They had a year of doing something a little bit different with the livery.  It gave the F1 fans the chance to give something back to the environment and get their names on the RA-107 car in the process.

On my travels around F1 I’d been fortunate to make a great friend of an F1 journalist. He also arranged tours at that time for fans to races and other F1 related places. I saw the car being made at the factory in Brackley. This meant I had a real close up of the nose where my name was! My Earth Dreams being to give up ironing which is not a great hardship for an artist and traveller. Shirts/blouse and things that need creases taking out aren’t found in my wardrobe!

Inspired by this and seeing the racing live in Barcelona I created this vibrant semi-abstract 30.5 cm square acrylic on deep canvas.
