acyrlic painting of BSB rider Lavery in Swan Yamaha coloursLaverty Swan is a painting that marks a return to something I love. Bikes is where my love of speed and colour began. Good to get back to Brands Hatch this year on a warm, but windy day. The names have changed but the excitement with thrills and spills is still there.

Higher fencing at Brands makes it a little more difficult to get the right shots, but where there’s a will there’s a way. This still remains a great circuit to take photographs at without a media vest.  If you’ve never been then grab a British Super Bike (BSB) day out as it has thrills and hopefully not too many spills with the main and support races.

Laverty Swan

This acrylic painting is on a 61 x 61 cm deep canvas with aubergine edges. It can be hung as shown, or as a diamond. You can buy it here.

The bold primary colours of the bikes make great subjects, although not sure the sponsors would be happy with the blur of the logos!

The helmet took on a shape of it’s own which is almost like knights of old.
