With The Only Way Is Essex making the Sugar Hut and Brentwood a must see spot. Who knows who may turn up to take a look and buy an original work of art?

So with the encouragement of the life group I go to on Wednesdays, it’s find a venue time. Easy, that will be with Skidmarques, tyre and wheel aligners, on the industrial estate. A great space for paintings of colour, cars and motorbikes. Afternoon tea to be offered, as everyone will have to drive to the venue, but also Drinks of France will be providing some vino.

The Brentwood Art Trail was developed in 2009 to bring together local artists, talented local people and local businesses. This is  part of the successful countywide Essex Summer of Art programme; a cultural tourism project involving 19 art trails inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This year the focus is on the themes of the Olympics; excellence, friendship, respect, courage, determination, inspiration or equality.

Been concentrating my works on Colour in Motion in 2012 which embraces those themes well. To give some variety I committed to three works for the trail; a pit crew in action (Excellence), weekend cyclist (Courage) and motorbike racers on a yellow flag lap (Courage and Respect). These are all reflected on the invite to the afternoon view. [Please either JOIN the event on Facebook or email to confirm attendance of the event.]

There will also be some softer watercolours available of a variety of subjects counter-balancing the bright noise created by the acrylic paintings. I’ll be releasing pictures and more details over the next two weeks on my Facebook page.

Ferrari Pit Crew  has proved a popular image.  A fourth version of Excellence 100 x 50 cm in acrylic on deep canvas  is available here.

Courage and Respect/Clearways Curves was sold at the exhibtion and I’ve not recreated it.

Weekender I is popular both in print form at various sizes with or without it’s companion Weekender II. If you prefer to see the painting before you buy then you can view them at Greenstage Gallery who also offer interest free credit.

Weekender I is 50 x 100 cm acrylic on canvas in a white wood casement frame. Weekender II is 80 x 60 cm acrylic on canvas in a white wood casement frame.
