The Splash of Yellow is more about the unexpected shower that Chris Froome got this year than the number of times he was wearing the maillot jeune. It was a tough year for Team Sky in 2015. Some members of the media were digging away at the slightest thread of scanda. How could this gangly framed Englishman be performing so well. It seem to give some of the fans a licence to be disrespectful to the maillot jeune and to add some extra yellow by throwing a cup of urine over him.
Splash of Yellow captures Chris Froomes distinctive thin arms and the effort and energy he is putting in. The course car and TV bike behind giving lovely shots of pinkish red and dark black to set off his helmet and yellow jersey.
